About Us

At Central Plains Bison Inc., we have been farming bison since 2000 on our ranch located south-east of St. Claude, Manitoba, Canada. We are about an hour west of Winnipeg along Hwy 2.

Jamie, a welder by trade and Bobbie, a teacher, operate the 250-head herd. We both still work off the farm to make ends meet. We are first generation farmers trying to build a business for our three girls. It's a joy to see them grow up with these amazing animals in our backyard and also for them to see the value in hard work. 

We enjoy providing premium quality bison meat to our customers year-round with our various curbside pick-up options. In the summer, we take our meat trailers on the road and can be found at several different Farmer's Markets across the province with all of our products. However, we will not be doing Farmer's Markets for the unforeseeable future due to the diagnosis of leukemia for our youngest daughter, Kennedy. We will continue to provide curbside and ranch pick-up options.

Our meat is government inspected and vacuum sealed. We do not use any antibiotics, growth hormones or steroids on our animals. They are fed grass as well as free choice, whole-plant corn silage.
